Teamlead Distribution Channel bij Lely

As Team Lead Distribution Channel, you are responsible for the daily management of a professional team of approximately 20 experts, divided across the disciplines of Application Experts, Scrum Masters, and Information Analysts. You inspire, motivate, and coach your team to deliver top performance and ensure an effective way of working. You play a key role in translating strategic goals into operational execution, maintain relationships with stakeholders (from senior management to operational level), and work closely with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, and Information Managers to create a future-proof IT landscape.

You are the primary point of contact for functional management, project management, and external vendors. Additionally, you ensure the availability, stability, and performance of applications, prioritize incidents and changes, and coordinate release planning and IT projects such as upgrades, integrations, and server migrations. You facilitate bi-weekly meetings with superusers to discuss system improvements and ensure structural solutions to prevent incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the application team (20 FTE, including Scrum Masters).
  • Primary point of contact for functional management, project management, and external vendors.
  • Responsible for daily operations and progress of strategic projects.
  • Ensuring optimal availability, stability, and performance of applications.
  • Maintaining relationships with business teams, vendors, IT Architecture, and Security.

Daily Operations

  • Prioritizing and distributing incidents and changes.
  • Working on structural improvements to prevent incidents.
  • Coordinating release planning and deployments.
  • Managing documentation and knowledge retention within the team.
  • Creating and monitoring the team roadmap.
  • Communicating incidents to end users (superusers in clusters).
  • Analyzing incidents and developing structural solutions.
  • Organizing bi-weekly meetings with superusers on IFS system improvements.

Project Tasks

  • Coordinating IT projects (upgrades, integrations, server migrations, etc.).
  • Resource planning and alignment with other teams.
  • Stakeholder management (business and IT).
  • Coaching and providing substantive guidance to team members in projects.

You will be part of the management team of the Business Applications and Services Domain, where you collaborate with other team leads to align the domain’s services as closely as possible with the needs of the organization. We are looking for a coaching and facilitating team lead who enables the team to excel. You are a sparring partner for the experts in your team, ask the right questions, and provide support without needing to know every technical detail. You have an affinity for IT and business applications and are capable of translating strategic issues into operational execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level of working and thinking.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience.
  • Experience with coaching and facilitating leadership.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills at all levels.
  • Affinity with IT and business applications (run/change).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
  • Availability of 32–40 hours per week, with the expectation of being in the office at least four days a week.
