We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Sales Engineer to join our team and support our growth in the IAM domain. This role combines technical expertise with strategic customer engagement to drive sales and build strong client relationships.

Missions & Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support for all Thales IAM products.
  • Collaborate with Sales/Account teams, Channels, Business Development, and Technical Support to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize consultative selling skills to understand customer requirements and provide clear assessments of feasibility and associated risks.
  • Support contract negotiations by offering technical insights and expertise.
  • Prepare technical workflows, responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Information (RFIs), and detailed project proposals.
  • Deliver solution presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
  • Analyze customer operations to identify business directions and application requirements, offering solutions that align with their technical goals.
  • Provide high-level pre-sales technical support, consultation, and training to Partners, End-Users, and internal departments throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner with Product Management to evaluate and recommend product enhancements based on market needs, emerging technologies, and customer feedback.
  • Arrange and coordinate product demonstrations or trial installations.
  • Stay updated on relevant products, competitor offerings, and industry trends.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, or Professional Services roles with a customer-facing focus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Services, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of cryptography, including symmetric (AES, DES, 3DES) and asymmetric (RSA, ECC, DSA) encryption, hash algorithms, and SSL.
  • Hands-on experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital certification.
  • Familiarity with Key Management Solutions (KMS) and Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP).
  • Proficiency in UNIX, Linux, and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and virtualization technologies like VMWare and Openstack.
  • Knowledge of storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, MongoDB, Teradata).
  • Background in Big Data technologies (Hortonworks, Hadoop).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage audiences from technical teams to executive stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills using tools like PowerPoint and whiteboarding.
  • Ability to handle solution validation and manage objections confidently.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset with strong time management skills.
