We're seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and elevate our analytics capabilities to new heights! If you're driven by uncovering meaningful patterns in data and love turning complex information into actionable business strategies, Nmbrs offers the perfect environment to make a real impact.

Your expertise in data analytics could be the key to unlocking our next breakthrough - are you ready to shape the future with us?

About Nmbrs:

We're a fast-growing scale-up building innovative HR & payroll technology. With 150+ colleagues in Amsterdam, Lisbon, and Stockholm, we do things differently. No traditional managers, a 4-day workweek, and the freedom to make an impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Handle both backend data processing and frontend visualization to deliver comprehensive analytics platforms
  • Create regular reports and perform methodical analysis on product, financial, and performance data from discovery to delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to define priorities, discuss data strategy, and communicate complex insights clearly
  • Oversee API management, Python ETL scripts, and end-to-end data workflows from extraction to analysis
  • Apply proven experience in analytics strategy, data analysis, and visualization to support decision-making across all company departments

A day at work

You start your day by checking in with your squad, sharing progress and discussing any challenges. As a team, you collaborate to remove blockers and support each other.

Later, you partner with a product specialist to investigate a feature that isn't performing as expected. You identify where the relevant data is stored and use SQL to extract the necessary information for analysis.

After validating the findings with stakeholders, you co-create a Power BI dashboard to visualize the insights. You then organize a meeting with the stakeholders who requested the data to walk them through the results and support data-driven decision-making.

Some ongoing projects in your future squad:

  • Churn analysis and root cause investigation
  • Automated data centralisation using Python/API containerised solutions
  • PowerBI dashboards for product insights, user behaviour and priority setting
  • Analysis to better understand the performance of Cross-sell products and new features Revenue forecasting and customer satisfaction reporting

What you'll bring:

  • Have a bachelor or masters degree in a technical field (HBO or WO level) (in Computer Science is a plus)
  • Have at least 2+ years of work experience as Data Analyst/Business Analyst in a Saas environment (mandatory)
  • Have proven experience with SQL and Python. PowerBI and Azure (or similar cloud service) knowledge is nice to have (must have)
  • Have experience with ETL pipelines and automation (must have)
  • Happy to communicate with your squad and other squads, able to make the translation from data to valuable business insights and able to present it to stakeholders
  • Are able to work independently and in a team, to be a real Difference-maker
  • Have a proactive, curious approach, since without managers this is essential
  • Speak English fluently (fluency in Dutch is a plus)

What's in it for you:

  • We offer a gross annual salary of 50K to 55K including holiday allowance, depending on experience;
  • Nmbrs is a flat organisation in which you have the freedom and responsibility to do what you are good at and have an impact, in an agile working environment;
  • A personal coach who helps you with your personal and professional growth as well as a yearly budget for training and personal development;
  • We ensure a healthy work-life balance;
  • For us full-time means a 4-day workweek giving you one paid personal day to spend in a way that will benefit you the most;
  • We have a big and light office space close to the Sloterdijk train station, and all the floors of the office are accessible by elevator;
  • We work hybrid at Nmbrs
  • We kick off the summer by bringing all offices together for an amazing event at a very secret location to spark togetherness and innovation and celebrate with each other;
  • Additionally we organise fun events of different themes every month, think: game nights, movie nights, ping pong tournaments, or pizza party (all events are voluntary);
  • Nmbrs offers the opportunity to go on an exchange to our offices in Lisbon or Stockholm for up to 4 months.

The success of a business depends on the well-being of the people that choose to work for it.

Our vision for employee well-being transcends beyond our software. From the day we launched our company, we’ve practiced what we preach by setting the same high standards for our workplace as we’ve done for our products. With self-directing teams in three European cities, we’re inclusively collaborating across cultures. We believe this makes Nmbrs a great company to work for – and work with.
