As an iOS developer, you’ll craft high-quality apps that help users take control of their financial future. You’ll play a key role in shaping the mobile experience, implementing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring smooth integrations with our backend systems. You’ll contribute to a robust codebase with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and best engineering practices.

We’re Peaks, a fast growing, innovative Dutch fintech scale-up on a mission to help 1 million Europeans build wealth with investing and feel better about their financial future.

Since the launch of our app in November 2017 we have grown to one of the largest investment platforms in The Netherlands and Germany and serve more than 100,000 customers.

We serve these customers with a team of 40 very ambitious talents. To help Peaks fulfil its mission and growth ambitions, we are looking for an iOS developer.

What you will be doing

You will team up with our backend engineers to make sure we have the best possible mobile apps that serve our customers. For that reason, it is important that you are comfortable and confident in giving your opinion to your fellow colleagues. You will assist in refining and enhancing our mobile app architecture and overall service offering. You are eager to find a solution even to the most complicated and tricky problems and ensure that your code actually works and is on production. This means you test for robustness, edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

What you will need to apply

• At least 5 years of engineering experience with a product mindset
• Solid understanding of architectures, design principles and engineering best practices
• Are a specialist in Swift with expertise in both UIKit & SwiftUI and also comfortable with at least one other programming language (e.g. Kotlin, TypeScript, Python).
• Are a result driven professional who can deliver while playing with technology
• Have a good understanding of business processes and can own tasks from design to production
• Have strong communicative skills to interact with other internal teams such as our design team and customer care
• Are a lifelong learner willing to explore and share new ideas
• Live or plan to live in The Netherlands (Peaks is located in the heart of Amsterdam)
