ECC Engineering Coordination Manager (LR8, Work Package Management)

Overview

The ECC Engineering Coordination Manager is responsible for the transversal coordination of multiple engineering streams focused on the detailed engineering and qualification of over 60 variants of Environmentally Controlled Cabinets (ECCs). This role supports the Control Account Manager (CAM) and works in collaboration with various Work Package Managers (WPMs) to ensure synchronized operations across all parallel engineering activities in preparation for smooth industry acceptance.

Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate and oversee the detailed engineering processes across multiple streams, each consisting of mechanical, electrical, and IVVQ engineers.
  • Ensure that all streams adhere to micro-milestones, with regular precise and visual tracking of progress and resource allocation.

Operational Management

  • Identify and drive resolution of blockers using visual management techniques.
  • Manage exceptions and prepare detailed reports on project status.
  • Capture and implement best practices and capture lessons learned across streams.

Risk and Opportunity Management

  • Assess risks and opportunities across streams and proactively establish mitigation strategies to minimize project disruption.
  • Work closely with WPMs to ensure the achievement of technical, industrial, and financial objectives.
  • Identify blockers for Industry and subcontractor acceptance and implement mitigation strategies with Engineering WPM’s. Apply continuous improvement to enhance opportunity identification.

Liaison and Communication

  • Act as a point of contact between the CAM, various WPMs, and involved stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with PMO, WPMs, TMs, Industry, Procurement, and IVVQ to ensure alignment and smooth execution of the project.

Transversal Coordination

  • Monitor and control project schedules, budget, and quality adherence across all engineering streams.
  • Collaborate with industry and enable procurement milestones to be met as per the subcontract requirements.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and present regular status updates for the CAM and other senior management.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, risks, opportunities, and modifications.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in complex projects and coordination roles.
  • Strong understanding of complex procurement processes, supplier management and industry processes and deployment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under high-pressure and high-impact situations, demonstrating sound decision-making abilities.

Skills

  • Proficient with PowerBI, Confluence, Jira and Primavera.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent streams with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.

Reporting Structure

The ECC Engineering Coordination Manager reports directly to the Control Account Manager (CAM) and EMS and has the mandate to instruct WPMs as necessary to achieve overall project goals. The role involves constant collaboration and support to ensure the delivery of the ECC project aligns with overall F126 project objectives and operational policies.
