The Job:

We are looking for a couple of interns for a period of one month that would help us with a Trade Census project in Malta starting from the beginning of July. We provide market research as a service with a mobile application and consultancy service. We are there from A to Z to assist clients in their effort to identify and enumerate all products-selling outlets in a given market/territories.

As a Data Collection Intern, you will be responsible for collecting reliable and complete data from beer selling outlets in your coverage area. You will mainly be working with the owners and managers of the outlets to accurately record the information requested.

Main tasks include:

· Conduct face-to-face interviews exclusively with the owners and managers of cigarette sales outlets as part of the project.

· Fully cover your assigned area by visiting every cigarette outlet, without missing any.

· Guarantee the completeness and reliability of the information collected, ensuring that every required data field is filled in (GPS, interior and exterior photos of the outlet, etc.).

· Check that the volumes of beer are recorded accurately reflect the actual stocks observed during the interview.

· Ask each question in the script with precision, respecting the meaning and level of detail expected, in accordance with the training received.

· Participate in daily briefings at your deployment area HQ.

· Proactively contact your supervisor for any technical or administrative assistance and follow his/her instructions.

Candidate Profile:

· Skills required: Attention to detail, reliability and compliance with instructions.

· Personal qualities: Positive attitude, team spirit and excellent communication skills.

· Languages: Fluency in English. Other languages are not mandatory but would be an asset, especially Maltese, Italian, Chinese or Hindi

· Physical requirements: Able to walk streets of Malta each day to discover and survey outlets.

· Experience: Experienced in data collection or other field projects is desirable but not mandatory.
