You and your job

We are looking for 2 proactive, supportive and quality-driven privacy experts, who like to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

As a FEC Tech Privacy Expert, you will be the sparring partner of the Privacy Leads of the Areas of FEC Tech. You work closely with colleagues of the Areas of FEC Tech, supporting them in performing Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA’s). You’ll also identify issues and opportunities to improve ways of working within Tribe FEC Tech, share best practices, and host knowledge sharings. As a FEC Tech Privacy Expert you will have an overarching overview on the status of Privacy topics within Tribe FEC Tech and initiate actions to manage privacy risks effectively.

Your responsibilities

• Sparring partner of the Privacy Leads of the Areas of FEC Tech and first point of contact for overarching privacy questions within FEC Tech;
• Creating awareness and sharing knowledge/best practices regarding privacy topics and working according the principles of Privacy by Design;
• Support colleagues of FEC Tech with performing privacy risk assessments, eg Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA);
• Support on future privacy developments and support in translation of the overarching Privacy policy and procedures into practical guidance for FEC Tech;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance effective control of privacy risks within FEC Tech;
• Having an overarching overview on the status of privacy topics (ao DPIAs) within Tribe FEC Tech and enhance that Privacy topics are handled timely and effectively within FEC Tech.

The role of FEC Tech Privacy Expert is currently fulfilled by one external colleague. Privacy requires more attention and specific knowledge, therefore it is decided to open a vacancy for 2 new colleagues. Due to the fact that it is a relatively new role, many things have to be set up from scratch.
You’ll be working within the Expertise Center Model Management (ECMM)— a chapter within Tribe FEC Tech currently consisting of five people. This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise.

As Tribe FEC Tech (Model Developer), our focus areas include Customer Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, External Fraud Detection, Transaction Filtering, and Name Screening. All these Areas are also looking how to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their models.
You will act as a sparring partner and work closely with the Privacy Leads of the FEC Tech Areas—who take on this responsibility alongside their regular tasks—to support privacy-related topics. You will translate their input into overarching actions within FEC Tech.In addition, you will collaborate with colleagues across the FEC Tech Areas, including model development squads such as Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects. You will also interact with other departments within Rabobank, such as First Line Risk, the Compliance Officer, and the Privacy Office.

Part of your role will involve exploring opportunities for collaboration with other teams to manage privacy risks more effectively.

You & Your Talent

• Minimal a bachelor or master degree;
• Minimal 2-5 years of experience in privacy risk management;
• Preferably experience as a privacy officer or a privacy consultant;
• Preferably certification of CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or comparable certificates;
• Preferably understanding of Agile, Devops way of working and Scrum at Scale;
• Preferably experience in complex organizational settings;
• Excellent communication skills in English, since most of the communication within FEC Tech and the broader organisation is in English.
• Ability to engage and to work effectively with a wide range of colleagues;
• Agile mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment;
