Business process specialist EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)

Introduction to the job

For the Planning & Delivery (P&D) Service Hub we are looking for an EWM Specialist to join our team. Do you master that unique mix of understanding of how SAP-EWM works in logistics and implementing it in hands-on business environments? Can you quickly gain respect from the “do-ers” by giving effective support before they know they need it? Do you truly enjoy overseeing and debugging logistic processes, and implementing and standardizing EWM solutions as a true change agent? Then this is your job!

Role and responsibilities

As EWM specialist, you are tasked to:

  • Support teams to find solutions to fit the gap between the business processes and EWM solutions
  • Develop and supply analyses, knowledge and expertise on the logistics processes, and their implementation in SAP-EWM and other IT tools
  • Create, complete and update the quality manual (process descriptions, work flows & instructions, one-point-lessons) and skills framework and training

You support an operational department of approximately 150 people and you work closely together with all relevant stakeholders throughout the project, depending on your specific subjects.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor or master degree in Mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or supply chain/logistics
  • Substantial (4-7 years) in-depth experience working with SAP-EWM systems in operational logistics & engineering, preferably in a high-tech, low-volume assembly environment
  • Hands-on experience with change management/continuous improvement in the scope of EWM implementations is a must
  • Project management experience is a must
  • Big plus but not a must: knowledge of the Lean methodology
  • Excellent professional communication in English
