Internship - Supply Chain Management at Philips

Internship opportunity for 6 months

  • Start in August or September 2025
  • Option to work on a thesis project if required

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Learn from the Operational Buying Team. You'll be working closely together with this team, as well as Procurement Engineers from the business unit, Supplier Account Managers, and many suppliers of Factory Best.

You are responsible for

  • Gathering relevant information on problems, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions
  • Preparing for and supporting the Daily Management operating rhythms of the organization and the weekly KPI report outs
  • Supporting material inflow activities
  • Supporting inventory monitoring activities
  • Supporting material processes in the factory

You are a part of

The Operational Material Management (OMM) team of Factory Best, within the Diagnostic X-Ray (DXR) Supply Chain team in Philips Health Systems. This team consists of Operational Buyers, Supplier Performance Managers, and End-Of-Life Analysts, and acts as an interface between production, procurement, planning, and order management within our Supply Chain.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain or related, and will be enrolled as a student for the whole internship period
  • Experience in or affinity with Supply Chain or e.g. procurement, planning, master data management and/or order management is preferred
  • Strong in Excel, experience in Power BI is a plus
  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills (team player)
  • Proactive attitude, problem solver and able to work independently
  • Willingness to further develop analytical and intellectual capabilities
  • Fluent in oral and written English

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300 net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255 net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) needs to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192 net depending on the distance between your home address and the Philips location.
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

Please note that to be considered for an internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of which may be requested at any time. The contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. As part of the internship you will be required to work in Best at least 2 days a week.
