Introduction to the job

ASML Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) is responsible for managing ASML’s suppliers and securing materials – at the right quality and cost – for our factories and our customers’ fabs.

The Chief-of-Staff Office supports the leadership of the sector on a variety of topics, including strategy facilitation, presentations, consulting assignments, events and executive management meetings.

A role in this team provides an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure to SS&P strategic and operational priorities and close collaboration with the management team. We are looking for an ambitious high-potential colleague who will be a recognized business partner to the leadership of the sector.

This particular vacancy will support the team within SS&P named Supplier Collaboration & Quality. The role is a member of the management team of this department.

Role and responsibilities

  • Facilitate regular meetings and full-day sessions of the management team, for agenda and content
  • Build compelling presentation materials on behalf of the sector for senior executives
  • Organize major events, such as all-employee meetings
  • Lead consulting assignments on various topics

Education and experience

  • Master level (business or technical education is a plus)
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience related to chief-of-staff
  • Experience in change management
  • Extensive experience in working with senior management/executives
  • A background in management consulting is a plus
  • Experience in procurement (of technology products) is a plus ​
  • A broad knowledge of ASML’s business is a plus

Skills

To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:

  • Ability to establish relationships of respect and trust with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, and emotional intelligence
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Either a strong knowledge of ASML or a demonstrated ability to familiarise yourself with a business quickly, for example from a history of management consulting
  • The analytical skills needed to gather and evaluate complex (qualitative and quantitative) information, and distil the key facts and arguments from it
  • Ability to prepare compelling presentations, in tune with the expectations of the audience
  • Readiness to work under pressure in an environment of frequent change and uncertainty
  • Excellent English – written and spoken

Other information

  • Occasional travel may be needed but this will be minimal
