Join us as a Global Sustainability Intern at our International Headquarters in Amsterdam, starting September 2025.
In this internship, you will support our work championing Regenerative Agriculture and Nature đż, as well as further refine our Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence processes. All of this will be done through hands-on support and by contributing to our sustainability information & knowledge management system.
Your key activities will be:
- Conducting research and analysis to evaluate potential environmental and social risks and impacts associated with our companyâs activities, products, and suppliers.
- Supporting the rollout of our Monitoring & Evaluation processes to collect and report on key performance indicators related to our nature and people goals.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to obtain insights on human rights and sustainability performance throughout the supply chain, and effectively communicating your findings.
- Participating in the development and implementation of training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees, suppliers, and partners about sustainability topics.
- Supporting the preparation of sustainability reports, disclosures, and submissions for both internal and external audiences.
- Assisting with the rollout of our Human Rights & Environmental Due Diligence Programme.
- Collaborating on the creation of an information and knowledge management system to support our sustainability initiatives.

Hereâs what weâre looking for:
- Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in the fields of sustainability, environmental studies, human rights, or international relations.
- Skillset: You have strong MS Office skills and are fluent in both spoken and written English. Familiarity with topics like the UN Guiding Principles, ILO Conventions, and Human Rights standards is a plus.
- Personal Traits: Youâre passionate about sustainability and human rights đ, and bring strong research, analytical, and communication skills aimed at driving positive impact.
- Commitment: Youâre available for at least 6 months, ideally from September to February.
- Availability: You can commit to the internship full-time, 5 days a week.

- Your internship must be part of your academic curriculum and contribute directly to your study results.
- Your educational institution must be willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peetâs â and, if joining one of our Research departments, also sign an NDA for the internship.
- You must either be an EU/EEA student residing in the Netherlands during the internship, or a non-EU/EEA student enrolled at and living in the Netherlands during the internship period.
