Are you passionate about smart farming solutions and excited to work on real-world challenges in a barn environment? Then this internship might be the perfect fit for you! As an intern, you will research and develop a creative and robust cleaning solution for sensors operating in polluted and demanding conditions, such as barns with high dust or manure exposure. This assignment provides you with the freedom to explore, design, and test your ideas—all while making a direct contribution to the functionality and durability of our advanced agricultural systems.

Your main tasks will include:

• Conducting research into existing sensor cleaning systems used in agricultural machinery, AGVs, and AMRs.
• Designing and developing a novel cleaning concept tailored to barn environments.
• Creating a functional prototype to be tested in real-world farm conditions.
• Performing tests and evaluations to validate the effectiveness and durability of your design.
• Documenting and presenting findings and design iterations.
• Working closely with engineers and product development specialists in a multidisciplinary team.

Wat is jouw ervaring?

You are a proactive and curious student with a hands-on mindset and a passion for innovation. You enjoy diving into technical challenges and thinking outside the box to come up with creative solutions.

You bring:

• A WO-level education in Agrotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and a good understanding of 3D modeling (experience with PTC-Creo is preferred).
• Affinity with agricultural environments and farm operations.
• An independent and inventive approach to problem-solving.
• A desire to test ideas in practical, real-life scenarios.
