In our advanced cleanroom facility in Echt, we develop and assemble complex, high-quality cable systems for top-tier clients in the high-tech sector. As an Account Engineer, you take on a key role in managing customer requests for new products. This position allows you to combine your technical expertise with strong communication and coordination skills, making you the crucial link between our customers, engineering teams, and internal departments.

You will be responsible for preparing quotations and managing the introduction of new products for your assigned accounts and product portfolio. In doing so, you carefully balance customer expectations with technical and financial feasibility, always keeping Neways' interests in mind. Your role involves close collaboration with fellow engineers as well as frequent coordination with departments like production, sales, procurement, quality, and planning. Acting as a Project Manager, you oversee the progress of product introductions and ensure clear communication with both the customer and internal stakeholders.

This is what you bring to the team

As an account engineer, you are expected to work in a structured and project-oriented manner. Your commercial affinity, critical eye, and knowledge of business processes help you continuously ensure that the internal process runs as efficiently as possible. You excel in maintaining customer contacts, have a hands-on mentality, and enjoy contributing ideas in an organization that is constantly evolving.

We also require:

• A bachelor's degree (HBO) in a technical field, such as mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering;
• Demonstrable affinity with project-based work, business processes, and procedures;
• Good knowledge of MS Excel;
• Demonstrable affinity with production, testing, or development;
• Strong communication and writing skills in both Dutch and English. Proficiency in German is a plus.

Your daily responsibilities include

• Communicating technical content with customers;
• Preparing cost price calculations for customer quotations;
• As a project manager, you are responsible for the progress of product introductions on a technical level;
• Present at customer locations for meetings and progress discussions;
• Responsible for a product that can be efficiently produced and tested;
• Responsible for all technical aspects regarding the assessment of changes in terms of completeness and manufacturability;
• Coordinating the work of test, manufacturing, and process engineering;
• Evaluating and advising on “design for excellence.”
