Introduction to the job

As a Risk & Policy Manager at the Risk Business Assurance & Security (RBA&S) department of ASML, you lead a team of risk & policy experts and guide the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of ASML’s enterprise risk management practices. You shape the risk management strategy across multiple sectors, ensuring the organization proactively addresses strategic and operational risks while building long-term resilience.

Roles and responsibilities

In this role, you will manage the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of ASML's Risk Management process including the 3-lines of responsibility model, methodology, tooling and training, and align with the ASML relevant stakeholders in order to ensure a fit-for-purpose and effective Risk Management process. You will manage the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies and plans across multiple sectors to: identify relevant stakeholders and create mutually supportive working relationships. You act as a trusted business partner for multiple sectors in the area of risk management and senior ASML stakeholders up to CET-1.

You will be responsible for people management, including selection, development, goal setting and performance, ensuring an overall high level of talent and engagement level. You act as a role model on ASML values and behavior, lead by example and ensure high-quality development & career paths for team members, empowering their growth.

• Challenge senior management and provide risk recommendations to achieve business objectives.
• Formulate policies and policy frameworks for area of responsibility or department.
• Take responsibility for creating underlying procedures and monitoring adherence to the policy framework.
• Build frameworks to fully assess the scope and context of short-term and long-term business needs related to risk management.
• Implement the formal development framework for a team, with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Provide informal coaching to others throughout the organization in area of expertise.
• Develop and/or deliver elements of a strategic planning system.

Education and experience

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business economics, risk management, or technology).
• 15+ years of experience in risk management, assurance, or strategy roles in complex multinational organizations.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise risk principles, stakeholder alignment, and implementation at scale.
• Experience leading diverse, high-performing teams and engaging at senior business levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex risk challenges with strategic and business impact.

Skills

You bring a deep understanding of enterprise risk strategy, business engagement, and leadership. You influence decision-making through actionable insight, foster risk maturity across the business, and act as a role model in coaching, stakeholder partnership, and cross-sector leadership.
