About Us: At Booking.com, data drives our decisions. Technology is at our core. And innovation is everywhere. But our company is more than datasets, lines of code or A/B tests. We’re the thrill of the first night in a new place. The excitement of the next morning. The friends you encounter. The journeys you take. The sights you see. And the memories you make. Through our products, partners and people, we make it easier for everyone to experience the world.

Role Description:

At Booking.com we are proud of the way we use data and experimentation to drive better product decisions. Over the last 20 years, we have continuously invested in building the best possible experimentation culture to enable our colleagues throughout the company to make the best possible decisions for our customers, partners and our business. Culture at scale is managed through engaging with the experimentation community, developing processes, collaterals, improving coordination and education.

We are seeking an Experimentation Training and Engagement Specialist to enhance data-driven decision-making by ensuring teams apply rigorous experimentation methodologies effectively. This role focuses on educating stakeholders, refining experimentation processes, and enabling teams to generate and interpret high-quality insights.

Through structured training, workgroups, documentation, processes and collaboration, the Experimentation Training and Engagement Specialist will support cross-enterprise Experimentation, helping all stakeholders make informed, statistically sound business decisions.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Scale experimentation literacy across the organisation by developing structured training sessions, hands-on workshops, and self-service documentation.
  • Design and deliver tailored training programs for diverse audiences (e.g., Engineering, Data Science, Product), ensuring teams adopt best practices.
  • Maintain and expand the experimentation knowledge base, including a comprehensive wiki with guides, FAQs, and best-practice resources.
  • Capture key learnings and gather feedback from the experimentation community to inform the strategic direction, roadmap, and processes.
  • Support stakeholder engagement by running data-driven prioritisation workshops and requirement-gathering sessions to align experimentation with business needs.
  • Facilitate experimentation forums to improve alignment, transparency, and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to drive adoption of best practices and enhance experimentation strategies.
  • Lead the Experimentation Ambassadors program and ongoing education initiatives, including onboarding and advanced training.
  • Create and curate engaging content, such as videos, blog posts, and best-practice guidelines, to support experimentation across the organisation.
  • Advise leadership on cultural behaviours that influence experimentation effectiveness and decision-making.
  • Organise and run major experimentation events, including the yearly Experimentation Awards, knowledge-sharing sessions, and the Experimentation Council.
  • Act as a go-to resource for stakeholders, providing guidance on interpreting experiment results and translating them into actionable insights.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in an analyst, data specialist, or similar role, with a focus on interpreting and communicating insights.
  • Strong foundation in experimentation methodologies, including A/B testing, statistical analysis, and causal inference.
  • Experience in developing and delivering structured training programs to improve experimentation literacy across diverse teams.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with experience facilitating prioritisation workshops, requirement gathering, and alignment discussions.
  • Ability to create and manage knowledge-sharing content, such as documentation, best-practice guides, blog posts, and video tutorials.
  • Experience in planning and organizing events, such as training sessions, hackathons, or industry awards.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as familiarity with large data sets and data tools.
  • Ability to translate complex statistical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with a passion for enabling data-informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills, balancing strategic focus with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player, open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.

Benefits & Perks - Global Impact, Personal Relevance:

  • Annual paid time off and generous paid leave scheme including: parent, grandparent, bereavement, and care leave
  • Hybrid working including flexible working arrangements, and up to 20 days per year working from abroad (home country)
