For our Project Management Office, we look for an intern who assists with Project Risk Management. As an intern, you are responsible to build a template and propose ways of working to identify, evaluate and report project risks.

Your responsibilities include:

• Define key risk categories such as budget, timing or quality based on existing info and interviews with key stakeholders;
• Study risk management methods in similar industries like aviation to use as a reference;
• Propose a method for risk identification, evaluation and reporting;
• Create a template report for project risks on different levels in the organization to facilitate decision making;
• In addition you are involved in project reviews.

Jouw profiel

We are looking for an enthusiastic HBO or WO student who is pursuing a degree in fields such as Product Development, Business, Economics, Project Management or similar. The number of internship days and in office days is negotiable.

• You are enrolled in an HBO or WO program in a field like science, engineering or business.
• You enjoy technical discussions, building plans and exploring new ideas.
• You are familiar with Microsoft office, especially Excel and Powerpoint.
• You like to build presentations that are easy to understand and persuade the audience.
• You are comfortable to pro-actively engage with new people.
• You speak fluent Dutch or English.

Afdeling

The Project Management Office is part of the Product Development organization of DAF Trucks and is located in Eindhoven. The department plays a crucial role in managing all major future developing projects with in DAF Trucks both in Europe as worldwide. The department manages project risks that impact budgets, timelines and deliverables, and facilitate senior level mitigation decision making.

This happens in close collaborations with operations, purchasing and marketing & sales, where risks are identified to manage mitigations and report early on project impact. Currently, risks identification, evaluation and reporting is not standardized and often informal, making reporting on the right management level and defining mitigations in the organization not always effective. The goal is to get to a template and standard way of working be faster in pro-actively reacting on risks.
