About the role:

The Global Demand Lead is responsible for driving demand planning excellence across the organization. This role owns the regional demand review meetings and global demand reconciliation processes, ensuring seamless alignment with S&OE and S&OP. The role also spearheads demand forecasting improvements, leveraging advanced tools such as AI/ML, CIT, and IBP, and leads initiatives to enhance process efficiency.

The Global Demand Lead manages two direct reports: Portfolio Managers, ensuring strong integration between portfolio and demand planning strategies to optimize execution, rationalization, and complexity control.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Own the regional demand review meetings, ensuring structured discussions on demand trends and forecasts.
  • Lead global demand reconciliation, working closely with regions to highlight opportunities, risks, and escalations for S&OE and S&OP meetings.
  • Be the global voice of demand and a partner to the senior leadership team to steer the business
  • Support Forecast Accuracy Improvements, helping Fighting Units (FUs) identify root causes behind forecast deviations and resolving top operational offenders.
  • Oversee the use of AI/ML, CIT, and IBP tools to facilitate demand planning best practices.
  • Drive process improvements in collaboration with Supply Chain Excellence, optimizing efficiency and accuracy in demand planning.
  • Establish global connections between Demand Planners, promoting best practice sharing and collaboration.
  • Lead the SC Portfolio Managers, ensuring tighter integration between portfolio and demand, improving PIPO execution, portfolio rationalization, and complexity control.

  • Forecast Accuracy: Improvement in demand forecast precision.
  • Forecast Bias: Reduction in bias to improve balance between over- and under-forecasting.
  • Forecast Value Add: Contribution of forecast adjustments to improved accuracy.
  • Demand Planning Efficiency/Productivity: Optimization of resources and planning effectiveness.
  • Portfolio Complexity Management: Streamlining SKUs and rationalizing product portfolios.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of identifying key trends and operational inefficiencies.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ensuring smooth coordination with global stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in demand planning and forecasting, with a focus on both process and technology.
