Description
At Viscon Group, we create smart automation solutions that help shape the future of plant production. A big part of our offering includes plastic consumables: think trays, lids, containers, and other materials that support young plant growth. Because sterility is crucial in these environments, most of these products are single-use. But the world is changing. Sustainability is becoming more important, and the pressure is growing to reduce the environmental impact of these plastic products. That’s where you come in.

During this internship, you’ll explore how Viscon can redesign and improve its consumables portfolio, by finding smart, sustainable alternatives that still meet strict hygiene requirements. Think biodegradable materials, reusable systems, and even closed-loop solutions like take-back programs.

You’ll deliver:

  • A short report on the top 5 priority products.
  • An analysis of sustainable alternatives per product.
  • A customer insights summary.
  • A feasibility matrix comparing the options.
  • A strategic proposal for each product, including next steps for testing or development.

Who are we looking for?

  • You are following an HBO or WO education in Industrial Design, Sustainable Innovation, Material Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • You enjoy working closely with others, but you’re also capable of working independently.
  • You show initiative and aren’t afraid to dive into a complex topic.
  • You’re always looking for ways to improve or make things more efficient.
  • You have an interest in sustainability, agriculture, and innovation.
  • You speak and write English fluently, Dutch is a plus.

What can we offer you?

  • A lot of room for your own initiative.
  • Dynamic and innovative work environment.
  • Excellent financial compensation.
  • A kick-off meeting where you get to know all the in’s and out’s of the company.
  • You will receive a handbook with all the information you need to find your way in the company.
  • At the end an evaluation meeting to discuss the future!
