As Contract & Procurement Manager, you will play a central role in the development of Europe’s first dedicated Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant in Delfzijl. As we bring the DSL-01 SAF plant in Delfzijl to life, you will play a key role in ensuring our contract and procurement processes are optimized to keep the project on track—delivering on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

This is a critical position within our project delivery team, where your expertise will directly impact the successful realization of one of the most ambitious sustainable energy infrastructure projects in Europe

About the role

Contracts and Procurement Manager, you’ll be a key advisor to the Project Director and Site Director, ensuring our contracts and procurement processes are strategic, efficient, and aligned with our ambitious goals. Your expertise will be crucial in managing contracts, mitigating risks, and ensuring smooth collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:
As Contracts and Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our contracts and procurement processes support the success of our SAF plant.

You will be responsible for managing contract execution, making sure all agreements run smoothly, contractual obligations are met, and any amendments or claims are handled effectively. Monitoring contractor and supplier performance will also be key, ensuring they deliver according to agreed terms while maintaining quality and reliability.

Developing and implementing procurement strategies will be a major part of your role, ensuring that procurement plans align with both project goals and long-term operational needs. You will also lead the selection, evaluation, and onboarding of contractors, suppliers, and vendors, making sure we work with the best partners in the industry.

Risk management is another critical aspect of this position. You will proactively identify and mitigate contractual and procurement risks to prevent issues before they arise. Additionally, you will oversee dispute resolution and claims in collaboration with legal teams, ensuring that all matters are handled professionally and in the best interest of the project.

In this role, you will act as a key liaison between owners, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring smooth collaboration across all stakeholders. Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with vendors will also be essential, creating a foundation for sustainable and successful partnerships.

Your profile

SkyNRG is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for someone who embraces change, thrives in a scale-up environment, and is eager to make an impact. Ideally, you recognize yourself in the following:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Law. (A Master’s degree is preferred.)
  • 7-10 years of experience in contracts and procurement management within EPC projects or the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, procurement best practices, and risk management in major capital projects.

Skills & Mindset:

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • High integrity, proactive, and a strong communicator.
  • Experience with contract management software and ERP systems.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English is a must
  • Comfortable working in a scale-up and project-driven environment, defining the path forward.
