The Position

Commercial Finance Expert

Roche Diagnostics Netherlands, Almere

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Commercial Finance Expert to join our team. In this role, you will closely collaborate with colleagues from the commercial, service, and legal teams to structure deals that are sustainable for both our organization and our customers, always keeping the patient at the center. You will build networks within Roche and contribute to transformational business initiatives, applying our new ways of working to drive efficiency, impact, and customer value.

We’re looking for someone with a background in commercial finance and business partnering who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and wants to make a real difference in healthcare.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end Contract Lifecycle Management process, with a focus on preparing quotes and deal calculations for both regular business and tenders
  • Co-design deals with colleagues and customers, ensuring a healthy balance between financial sustainability and customer needs
  • Analyze contracts to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Manage contract renewals, including service agreements
  • Monitor contract fulfillment and internal financial results at both customer and overall levels
  • Represent Finance in a variety of internal improvement projects and strategic initiatives
  • Actively participate in cross-functional squads, acting as Finance representative in a designated business squad in line with our Finance 2.0 ambition
  • Be a partner and source of information for international colleagues by sharing, developing, and supporting solutions

What you bring:

    Strong financial and analytical skills with an affinity for working with software tools
  • The ability to prioritize in a dynamic and complex environment while taking ownership of your work

  • Collaborative spirit with the ability to work across hierarchies and teams
  • Conceptual thinking and strong communication skills, both internally and with customers. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity

Your experience and expertise:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch is an advantage
  • Strong financial skills
  • Affinity with legal aspects of a commercial environment
  • Preferably, knowledge of healthcare financing and hospital systems, as well as experience with customer interaction, contract management, and strategic business partnering
