Introduction

Cost Engineering (CE) is a global team of specialists in technology manufacturing processes and costs, mainly based in Veldhoven under Strategic Sourcing & Procurement. Their mission is to provide accurate product cost estimates worldwide and improve negotiations by validating supplier manufacturing processes and costs during workshops. CE also supports early design efforts with its manufacturing knowledge and develops cost estimation expertise across the company. The team focuses on three areas: Optics, Electronics, and Mechanics. Due to increased focus on cost-effective designs and cost of goods, CE is seeing a rise in support requests.
