About Labels Group
Labels Group is a modern and dynamic retail collective that encompasses four distinctive brands: We Are Labels, Nous Sommes Labels, WAL, and NSL. Founded in 2010 with the opening of a small boutique in Amsterdam, we embarked on a mission to spotlight independent brands with an emphasis on authenticity and craftsmanship.

Today, Labels Group continues expanding its presence with multiple stores across the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as a strong online presence through our global webshop. In our stores and online, we offer a curated selection of private labels and multi brand collections, bringing together the best in contemporary fashion.

At Labels Group, we are committed to providing a shopping experience that reflects timeless style and exceptional design. Whether in store or online, our goal is to deliver quality products that resonate with our customers' diverse tastes and preferences.

Job Description

Job Description
As a Buying / Product Development Intern, you will be partly responsible for the creation of the entire collection within Labels Group, from menswear to womenswear. You are part of a small team consisting of a buyer and two product developers. You will assist in the procurement of our brand portfolio from suppliers as well as in the collection development of our own brands.

Alongside your colleagues, you will work on designs and follow up on samples, fabrics, colors, and qualities, while also being aware of sales figures and ensuring weekly replenishment of our stores. In short, you will have the opportunity to put into practice everything you have learned so far and to learn even more.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the buyer and product developers with daily tasks
  • Conducting research on trends, design, and fabrics
  • Supporting technical drawings/graphics in Illustrator
  • Assisting with various product development tasks (such as creating size specs, processing comments, and maintaining daily contact with suppliers)
  • Supporting procurement (e.g., order processing, inventory management, and replenishment of our stores)

Who are we looking for?

At Labels Group, we are looking for a creative and technically Buyer/Product Development intern. It is important that you have a good understanding of our brand and fit seamlessly into our culture.

This means there is always plenty of work to do, sitting still is not an option, we all have to fix everything together; sometimes helping colleagues from other departments, but also having lunch together every day and having drinks together on Fridays.

  • You are in the final stage of a bachelor's degree in fashion (e.g., AMFI, TMO, etc.)
  • You are looking for a full-time internship for a minimum period of 5 months with the possibility of a job at the end of your internship, available from end of August/beginning of September
  • You have a good command of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • You are a team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • You have a hands-on mentality and are very eager to learn
  • Fluent in Dutch & proficient in English

What can you expect from us?

  • The opportunity to learn a lot about your future field
  • Challenging and creative internship where you can truly make an impact
  • Dynamic work environment, with young and ambitious colleagues, in a beautiful location in the heart of Amsterdam
  • Provided lunch at the office

Vleugje New York, beetje Berlijn, maar vooral heel erg eigen. In 2014 kwam daar onze webshop Wearelabels.com bij.

Onze collectie bestaat uit onafhankelijke modemerken, zoals: Anna+Nina, Anerkjendt, Bellfield, Cheap Monday, Club Manhattan, Dr. Denim, Elvine, Gestuz, Just Female, Levi's, Marie Sixtine, mbyM, Minimum, MinkPink, Modström, Numph, Rains, Samsoe & Samsoe, Second Female, Selected Homme en Suit.
