What You’ll Be Doing

As our Commercial Excellence Lead, you'll take ownership of our commercial performance across the site and app. You'll craft and execute trading strategies that are aligned with company goals, develop data-informed promotional calendars, and lead new initiatives to keep Greetz top of mind with customers — especially during key seasonal moments. This is an individual contributor role, so we are looking for someone that can drive strategic direction but also be hands on and into the detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour to identify growth opportunities resulting in an effective trading strategy
  • Create detailed customer-facing trading plans, including promotional calendars that maximise revenue and profitability across all categories
  • Work closely with the commercial and marketing teams to develop and implement integrated campaigns that drive customer acquisition and retention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, to optimise new Greetz initiatives such as Greetz Plus
  • Create bespoke trading plans during peak periods (e.g. Valentines Day, Mothersday)
  • Monitor sales performance, provide regular analysis and reporting on key metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvements
  • Forecasting is part of the job and this role should align all tactics around the optimisation of the commercial forecast
  • Support the commercial teams with great data and customer insight and increase current performance through data driven decisions
  • You will have a clear understanding of the customer agenda and ensure our offer puts us front of mind in customer purchasing decisions
  • Track the performance of campaigns on our various platforms (web/app) and act on those results to optimise the ROI.

About you:

  • Strong experience in digital trading, online merchandising or commercial performance focused roles in a dynamic ecommerce environment
  • Growth mindset, with the skill in building strategic plans that guide senior decision-making and drive action.
  • Love digging into data and using insights to spark meaningful improvements, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, strong written and verbal English and ideally Dutch skills
  • Bring a creative, customer-first mindset and a passion for experimentation.
  • Collaborate with ease across teams and levels, and enjoy bringing people together to make great ideas happen.
  • Curious, proactive, and flexible in approach.
