We are in the process of harmonizing processes and systems, with the central project being the implementation of the HR platform, Workday. A foundation has been laid. Now, we are looking for a Product Owner HR to continue building.

As Product Owner HR, you will be the bridge between the business, HR, and IT. You will ensure that HR processes are optimally supported and that business needs are translated into workable solutions. You will ensure that Workday works for everyone, from employees to managers.
In this role, you combine the responsibilities of a Product Owner with those of a Project Manager. This means you will define the vision, actively involve stakeholders, monitor progress, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of results.
You will work in a cross-functional team, closely collaborating with the HR department, IT specialists, and an IT Business Partner. You will bring together the needs from the organization, translate these into concrete solutions, and ensure they work effectively in practice for everyone within the organization, from reception to management.
What you will do:
- Identify areas for improvement in HR processes.
- Gather and translate business needs into concrete roadmap items.
- Create and manage process flows, user stories, and requirements.
- Support end-users and resolve Workday-related issues.
- Test and roll out new Workday configurations.
- Document and coordinate developments in Jira and Confluence.
- Act as a point of contact between stakeholders and the HR/Workday core team.
- Continuously improve the user experience, in line with regulations and laws.
Your key responsibilities:
- Own and evolve the product roadmap, balancing quick wins with long-term impact in line with our strategy.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and vendor timelines.
- Work closely with the internal configuration team to deliver and optimize features within platform boundaries.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories with defined outcomes.
- Coordinate with external software suppliers to align roadmaps, submit change requests, and track delivery.
- Lead product testing and validation, ensuring quality and business fit.
- Analyze user feedback and system performance to uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor vendor SLAs and manage performance, contracts, and expectations.
Dit ben jij
- 5-8 years of experience in digital product development or HR/IT system management
- Knowledge of Workday HCM, Time & Attendance (T&A), and related modules (preferred)
- Knowledge of HR processes and relevant laws and regulations
- Experience in analyzing business processes and gathering requirements
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HRM, IT, Business Administration, or a similar field
- Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch, English & German is a plus
- Able to influence without authority – you're a connector, not a controller.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – you ask the right questions and bring clarity to complexity.
- Analytical mindset – you translate data, feedback and business goals into tangible improvements.

- A one-year contract with a month probationary period in accordance with the Recreation collective agreement
- A salary between € 4,253 and € 6,076 gross per month on a full-time basis;
- 27 vacation days for a fulltime working week
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home
- Home working allowance of € 2,40 per home working day
- Reimbursement of travel expenses of €0.23 per kilometer or a public transport allowance; Costs for travel by public transport are fully reimbursed on the basis of a season ticket.

- Participation in the Recreation pension fund. The standard retirement date in this scheme is 67 years. The premium for this retirement pension is 21.8% of the pension base, with Landal and you each paying half

A full-time employment at Landal has a 38-hour work week, which is equivalent to a 5-day work week. If you have part-time employment, your salary and vacations will be prorated.
