The project manager Hydro-Structural directly supports the energy transition, contributing to innovative offshore renewable energy projects such as floating wind and solar. What will you be doing?

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing a wide variety of projects that focus on developing hydro-structural models and data driven solutions used from the design stage up to operation of ships and offshore structures. You’ll oversee onboard measurement campaigns, and transform collected data into valuable insights for both our clients and ongoing research. The role includes opportunities to travel to clients, partners and international conferences – helping you to stay connected with the industry and share your experience.

You’ll bring your technical knowledge, curiosity, and proactive mindset to drive innovation and collaboration. You’ll spot opportunities, expand your network, and enjoy taking initiative. You enjoy turning complex results into clear, impactful reports and presentations. Your work helps to shape the future maritime technology.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a motived colleague with a Master’s or PhD in a technical field, such as Naval architecture, Aerospace engineering, Mechanical engineering. You recognize yourself in the following qualities:

  • Proactive in identifying tasks and taking decisive action within projects
  • Broad interest in hydrostructural systems
  • Eager to spot and pursue opportunities in the market
  • Comfortable networking and building relationships outside and inside MARIN
  • Fluent in English, willing to learn Dutch if not already proficient

Who will be your colleagues?

You will become part of our Hydro-Structural Services (HSS) team within the Performance at Sea department. This department consists of 35 enthusiastic professionals driven by a shared mission: to make maritime operations safer, smarter and more sustainable.

The HSS team plays a key role in this mission by focussing on structural integrity. We collaborate closely with the maritime industry to develop, install and operate advanced monitoring systems. Our work directly supports the energy transition, contributing to innovative offshore renewable energy projects such as floating wind and solar.
