Our Commercial Operations Graduate Program is designed for you to be prepared for future leaders within AkzoNobel. After 2.5 years and 3 rotations, it is also possible to explore other opportunities with the global AkzoNobel organization. Together with your Mentor, you will explore the different career opportunities that fit your strengths and where you can create the most impact for yourself and AkzoNobel.

Join our 3-year Commercial Operations Traineeship, starting September 2025, to gain a broad understanding of how a corporate company is organized to serve our customers in a multi-country (Benelux) setup. Operate and collaborate in different teams on various assignments with real hands-on responsibilities crucial to our business. Discover your strengths with this opportunity in the world of Commercial operations, build first-class business and leadership skills and start building your network that will benefit you throughout your career.

  • 3 Rotations (minimum 9-12 months) + multiple assignments in one of our leading Marketing & Sales Units
  • Individual learning & development curriculum for your career (Process improvement, Crucial conversations, personal development trainings, etc.)
  • Personal Buddy & Mentoring Program
  • Close cooperating with our Marketing & Sales Unit Benelux management team

Location: Sassenheim|Leiden, the Netherlands or Vilvoorde|Brussels, Belgium

What do you bring?

  • You obtained a Master’s degree in business management, business economics, IT & Management, Data Driven Science or related discipline by August 2025
  • You’re someone who thrives on tackling complex challenges with strategic thinking and creativity, but who also isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty when work demands it.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are ready to embrace a digital future of AkzoNobel.
  • You are not afraid to challenge the status quo and bring a fresh viewpoint
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English (French is nice to have)
