Compliance: ensure timely and accurate reporting and filing of all statutory and regulatory filings and statistics across entities, adhering to local requirements and deadlines
Monthly closing guardian: you will ensure accurate and timely monthly closing of accounting records across entities and help drive established deadlines
Stakeholder collaborator: you will be the primary point of contact for accounting & control topics for internal teams, external partners and auditors and will facilitate the audit process
Annual Statements: prepare the statutory annual accounts and be the point of contact for local operating entities
Accounting principles: Prepare accounting memos and identify / analyze Dutch GAAP changes
Intercompany: you will take ownership of the transfer pricing documentation, preparing the necessary documents on a yearly basis
Asset sales & asset facilitator: you will support and prepare the asset sales, and lease buyback processes
Projects: as an accounting & control stakeholder, actively engage and participate in ERP projects to help make them a success
Efficiency innovator: proactively develop improved ways of working, continuously improve our internal control framework across entities, driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability within your scope
The gear you need:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) in Accountancy, or a related field equivalent
Ideally 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting & control, or Big 4 experience
Strong command of technical accounting principles and practices
A demonstrated ability to exercise professional skepticism

Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team

Benefits for a smooth ride!
Salary of up to €4.500 gross per month, depending on your experience

32 vacation days for ample time off (that’s right, next to 25 vacation days you can use your 7 Swap days as you please)
A solid pension plan and a discount on your health insurance
Windows laptop and phone allowance
A challenging and rewarding role with significant responsibility and friendly colleagues
Travel allowance (if you live more than 11 km away from the office, otherwise you’ll just use your Swapfiets, right.. 😎?)
Delicious and affordable lunch at the office prepared by our lunch heroes
Access to Urban Sports Club for Business arrangement (to promote your healthy lifestyle!)
Learning programs development opportunities through our L&D department
Engaging workshops and inspirational talks
One day off per year to do voluntary work paid by Swapfiets
Flexibility to work from and at the office in Amsterdam
Ready for the Swapfiets adventure?
If you are a detailed-oriented finance professional with a passion for financial excellence, and you’re excited about contributing to a sustainable and rapid growing company, we encourage you to apply!
Pedaling towards inclusivity at Swapfiets!
At Swapfiets, we believe in the power of diversity and inclusivity. While we’re proud of our progress, we know there’s more to do. Research shows underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet all requirements—but we don’t check all the boxes either! We value equal opportunity, unique perspectives, and diverse experiences. So, even if you don’t see yourself represented on our team, we encourage you to apply—because when we pedal together, we go further!
