Description of assignment

The Service Contracts Calculation Tool (SCCT) is used to calculate costs for service contracts, including renewals and new contracts. It is designed to ensure accurate cost estimates and fair distribution of costs across different contracts and services.

With the extensions made to the SCCT, there is a growing need for a simpler version during the early bid phases. Since not all required information is available at that stage, it remains important to provide a cost estimation through standard calculations.

The objective is to develop a user-friendly version of the SCCT, or possibly a separate input slide, which retains a standard method for calculating costs while requiring significantly fewer details for input. It should be practical for use during the bid phase by the Sales Engineer, without necessitating assistance from the Service Consultants IT (SCIT) team.

Department description

The IT and Remote Services department works closely together with our customer centers who are responsible for the customer relation and profit & loss. In addition, you will be working with our Strategy & Solutions and Technology departments on translating business requirements into technical solutions. And with our service desks around the world on the delivery of remote services.

Tasks/responsibilities

Main tasks consist of:

  • Designing, developing and implementing the budget mode, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with the existing SCCT framework.
  • Align with stakeholders throughout this process

  • Test Plans and Test Reports
  • User Training Materials
  • Comprehensive Documentation (User Manuals, Technical Specifications, Final Project Report)

  • Proficiency in data analysis, cost estimation techniques, and advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to analyse complex systems and identify areas for improvement
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder interviews, collaboration, and training
  • Ability to manage the project timeline, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations
