The job

As Contract Service Manager GWAN, you work together with several enthusiastic and professional colleagues who work in an international team at one of the headquarters in Amsterdam. Working for Tech Infra means working within a professional, dynamic, and international environment.

Your working environment: ING Tech Infra / GTDCN / Global WAN

The Contract Service Manager is part of the GWAN team, which is the ING squad responsible for the Global Wide Area Network (GWAN). With GWAN services, we enable countries, ING offices, and datacenters to communicate with each other. We manage our external supplier who is responsible for delivering the global infrastructure. As a team, we ensure proper management of the contract, (design) changes, availability, risk management, financial management, and operational management.

The GWAN squad is the linking pin between the ING consumers of the GWAN and our external supplier of the network. The team consists of service & contract managers and network engineers responsible for multiple services (GWAN, time & authentication services, and monitoring). In your role, you will work with/support the senior service & contract manager(s) and you will have your own backlog stories and responsibilities.

What’s a Service Manager GWAN within ING Tech Infra?

The Contract Service Manager GWAN has a couple of main focus areas:

  • Service & contract management
  • Operational Management (ITIL)
  • Project Management
  • Risk Management
  • Financial Management

As Service Manager GWAN you will be mainly responsible for:

  • Communication and (service) reporting towards our (internal) customers;
  • Attending operational meetings with the supplier;
  • Contract Management (operational & tooling)
  • Supporting the overall governance of the contract;
  • Risk Management and compliance;
  • Projects and Lifecycle Management;
  • Support Financial management of the GWAN contract (forecasting, charging, linking pin)

  • You can represent ING e.g. in the Quoting and Ordering Process, Service management meetings, and execution of Business As Usual changes in the network
  • Capable of supporting the contract management function
  • Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, teams, management, and vendors
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and the Scrum methodology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Optional advantage

  • Certifications or proven proficiency in Networking and/or Security
  • You have an understanding and effective execution on risk controls and (network) audits
  • Contract Management (optional; NEVI or equivalent experience in the field)

Your education and background

  • At least Bachelor's degree, you have a strong affinity with Service Management (strong with processes, communicative & customer-oriented)
  • Preferably you are ITIL (foundation level) certified
  • Good understanding, written and verbal in English
