About the Role:

As the Clinical Research Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing Danone's Clinical Research Strategy. You will lead innovation in clinical research with a specific focus on human research in digital health, protein, and microbiome. This role involves collaboration with both academic and commercial research partners to drive clinical research capabilities at our global innovation centers in Singapore, Utrecht, and Paris, as well as regional zones and local business units.

Role Description

Danone is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Research Director to drive excellence in clinical research and lead our global initiatives. If you have a strong background in clinical operations, a PhD, and over 20 years of experience, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Co-build a compelling vision and strategy for clinical research at Danone, transforming it into operational objectives and driving sustainable excellence in execution.
• Innovation and Collaboration: Drive innovation in clinical research, focusing on AI and digitalization, and collaborate with academic centers, CROs, and legal agencies.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee the Nutricia Clinical Research Unit (phase 1 unit) and develop an early exploration pipeline across different categories.
• Quality Management: Safeguard Danone's reputation in clinical research by developing quality management of studies and ensuring medical and safety standards.
• Team Empowerment: Manage, empower and coach highly skilled teams, fostering a great place to work with engaged and energized teams.

Key Deliverables:

• Translate scientific insights into strategic evidence roadmaps.
• Deliver clinical trials on time and within budget.
• Achieve external recognition for the high quality of our clinical trials.
• Recruit, retain, and develop top talent in clinical research and data.

Qualifications:

• Education: PhD, preferably with academic experience and clinical operations expertise.
• Experience: 20+ years in clinical research, with extensive management experience.
• Skills: Business acumen, effective communication, networking, and the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders.
