Job description

As (Senior) Manager, Sourcing, you will take on a strategic leadership role overseeing the sourcing team within the Extremities business division. In this pivotal position, you will guide a team of sourcing professionals in developing and executing sourcing strategies that enhance the supply chain by partnering with best-in-class suppliers who exceed Stryker’s high standards in quality, service, and cost.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders from Global Quality Operations (GQO) and commercial teams to ensure strong alignment of goals, strategies, and key initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Lead and develop a sourcing team of 3 within the Extremities division.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize the supply chain.
  • Conduct supplier and market analysis and build cost models.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements.
  • Oversee supplier performance, including Make vs. Buy decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and supplier executives.
  • Support supplier audits and quality compliance actions.
  • Drive sustainable sourcing and ethical practices across the supply base.
  • Perform regular site visits to maintain alignment and partnership.

What you will need:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, Operations or Quality roles.
  • Experience in medical device or other regulated industries.
  • Proven track record negotiating and managing supply and quality contracts.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).

This role offers not only an exciting challenge but also strong development potential. Operating between our key locations in Montbonnot-Saint-Martin, France, where you'll collaborate with stakeholders across various organizational levels, and Macroom, Ireland, a strategic manufacturing site, you'll play a crucial role in shaping sourcing strategy and supplier partnerships.

Depending on your experience and qualifications, the position may be filled as a Manager or Senior Manager Sourcing.
