Part-Time Student Position: Sustainability & Governance Support

Location: Amstelveen (Laan van Kronenburg 14)

Hours: 16 hours per week (flexible)

Start date: as soon as possible

About Us

We are an Amsterdam-based sustainable commodity trading company focused on enabling credible, verified carbon insetting through supply chain CO2 reduction interventions. We support our customers in meeting their Scope 3 climate goals by facilitating high-integrity carbon reduction transactions, underpinned by robust methodology, assurance, and traceability.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated student with a strong interest in sustainability, carbon markets, or environmental governance to support our growing operational and compliance needs. This role is ideal for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in the mechanics of high-quality carbon insetting and ESG infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

You will support the sustainability and operations team with:

  • Maintaining and updating our Governance & Methodology documentation, including version control and formatting
  • Supporting the upkeep and traceability of our mass balance system, which links carbon reductions to downstream allocations
  • Assisting with the internal deal flow tracker and flagging updates or upcoming verification milestones
  • Liaising where needed with third-party assurance and verification partners, helping coordinate document flow and audit readiness
  • Conducting light research on regulatory or methodological developments relevant to insetting

Profile

We’re looking for a candidate who is:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in sustainability, environmental sciences, economics, business, or a related field
  • Based in or near Amsterdam and available to work 2 days per week
  • Well-organised and comfortable working with structured documents (Microsoft etc)
  • Professional in communication with external stakeholders
  • Interested in carbon markets, climate policy, or corporate sustainability
  • Able to work independently with a hands-on, precise attitude

What We Offer

  • Exposure to the cutting edge of carbon insetting and climate finance
  • Flexible hours to match your study schedule
  • Mentorship from a small, experienced team working at the intersection of carbon markets, tech, ESG and the energy transition
  • A meaningful role with impact in a fast-evolving sector
