As our Sales Manager Emerging Markets, you will build and strengthen long term sustainable relationships with distributors (current and potential), and CMA (centrally managed accounts) in Emerging Markets of ASICS, in such a way that it helps to achieve the commercial objectives of ASICS Europe. You will be responsible for managing and delivering sales- and margin goals for defined distributors and CMA customers.

How you’ll help us.

Based at our EMEA Headquarters, just outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands, you will be reporting to the Director of Emerging Markets, and as part of the role, you’ll:

  • Prepare sales plans and turnover/margin targets for distributors and CMA. Responsibility for more than 25 countries including Greece/Cyprus, Israel, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania, Balkan region, North and Central Africa, Egypt, etc.
  • Support the Director Emerging Markets in defining the overall strategic sales plan.
  • Develop 1-3-year business plans for each market with the Director Emerging Markets.
  • Lead Strategic Account Plans for Top 3 Accounts per Distributor and CMA customers, ensuring focus and alignment with AEB in local countries.
  • Together with Sales Operations Specialist, monitor the orders and turnover and initiate actions if required.
  • Maintain relations with the distributors in Emerging Markets and CMA customers, visit them regularly and serve as contact point for questions or problems.
  • Spot and analyse business opportunities for AEB in existing and new Emerging markets and advise the Director Emerging Markets on follow-up action.
  • Lead a team of 3 people in AEB, Serbia and Ukraine.
  • Be responsible for drafting and administering distribution agreements, sales contracts and agreements on terms and conditions together with Legal.
  • Serve as contact point within AEB (all departments) for questions regarding Emerging Markets.
  • Cooperate with EM Marketing Manager, EM Trade Marketing Manager, Sales Operations Specialist and EM Merchandiser in order to give state of the art service to our EM Distributors and CMA accounts.

More about you.

  • Bachelor (higher vocational education) diploma in the field of Sales, Business management, Commerce
  • More than 4 years of relevant working experience in Sales departments as Key/National Account Manager within the Sport industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the Online and Brick and Mortar business in the sports or fashion market
  • Excellent financial and commercial skills to grow sales and gross margin performance
  • Proven track record of growing sales at Key Account and/or National Account level
  • Excellent knowledge of the sports market and the requirements of strategic accounts
  • Strong sales and customer orientation
  • Confident with forecasts and sales planning
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Availability to travel very often.
  • Knowledge of relevant systems and applications
  • Leadership experience
