Join Blyce as a Manual Test Engineer

With a strong eye for detail and a commitment to precision, you ensure that our software meets the highest standards before it reaches users.

Job description

Your Challenge as Manual Test Engineer

At Blyce, we build software solutions that support public sector transformation in Small Island Developing States (SIDS), including Curaçao, Bonaire, Aruba, Anguilla, Grenada, and St. Kitts & Nevis. Our work is grounded in purpose—and we take pride in helping governments serve their communities through digital innovation.

As a Manual Test Engineer, you play a key role in validating the quality of our complex, large-scale applications—solutions that power digital transformation for our clients. With a strong eye for detail and a commitment to precision, you ensure that our software meets the highest standards before it reaches users.

If you're motivated to go beyond hands-on testing, we offer the opportunity to step into a coordinator role, where you guide a small team of 1 to 3 testers. In this capacity, you oversee risk assessments, prepare test plans and reports, and support your colleagues with coaching and direction.

Whether you focus solely on testing or embrace the additional challenge of coordination, your mission is the same: deliver reliable, high-quality software that makes a real difference.

Your Team

You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary product team focused on delivering value to our clients. Alongside that, you join our international Test Team, a group of 17 passionate professionals based in the Netherlands, Curaçao, Suriname, Colombia, Poland, and Canada. This team fosters continuous learning and shared standards that raise the quality of testing across Blyce.

What We Offer

  • The possibility to work from one of our offices in Rotterdam, Deventer, Curaçao, Bonaire, or Medellín (Colombia);
  • A competitive gross salary ranging from €4,500 to €6,000 per month (based on experience and full-time employment in the Netherlands);
  • 28 vacation days, with the flexibility to buy or sell 8 extra days each year;
  • 8.33% vacation pay annually;
  • A monthly bonus equivalent to an extra month's salary (variable, gross);
  • A fixed monthly expense allowance of €300;
  • An annual performance-based bonus, tied to company results;
  • Full coverage of basic health insurance and a solid pension scheme via a.s.r.;
  • A hybrid work model, offering flexibility between home and office;
  • A company laptop and the necessary IT resources to support your work;
  • A full-time position—with part-time arrangements possible to support work-life balance;
  • Opportunities for personal development, supported by our Talent Development Specialist;
  • A fun and engaging culture, with team events, dinners, and sports activities;
  • A warm and inclusive work environment—the Blyce family.

Job requirements

What You Bring

  • HBO-level education or equivalent working/thinking ability;
  • 5+ years of experience as a manual software tester;
  • An ISTQB or TMAP certification (Test Manager certification is a plus);
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • A drive for high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement;
  • A precise, detail-oriented approach to your work;
  • The ability to act decisively and with focus to achieve results;
  • A clear and professional way of communicating ideas and recommendations.
