We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior UI Designer to join our elite Customer Advisory SWAT team. As a Senior UI Designer in this team, you will play a pivotal role in executing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and leading CxO Labs—an ideation workshop for C-level executives of banks—with a focus on speed, adaptability, and high-impact user interface design. You will have the opportunity to work on-site with potential customers, helping them visualize and experience the power of Backbase's solutions in real-time through polished and compelling UI.

What you'll do

As part of this agile and fast-paced team, you will contribute to developing and implementing PoCs that showcase visually stunning, intuitive, and high-performing interfaces for Backbase’s products. You’ll be responsible for leading workshops and rapidly creating pixel-perfect, interactive prototypes that resonate with our prospects, ensuring our design language reflects innovation and modernity. Your role will involve traveling to various locations, working directly with potential customers, and crafting UI that aligns with both customer expectations and business goals. This is a hands-on role where speed is prioritized over perfection, and your ability to create impactful, high-fidelity designs on the fly will be crucial. Additionally, your expertise in UI systems and design consistency will be essential as you ensure seamless integration of Backbase’s design principles within our customers' environments. Who you are

Do you think you would be a great addition to our SWAT team? We're looking for a UI expert who thrives in complex environments, excels at problem-solving, and brings a strategic mindset to every challenge. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in UX/UI Design, with a strong track record of crafting modern, visually appealing, and scalable user interfaces. Experience in banking or fintech is a plus.
  • A results-driven mindset, thriving in Agile environments and well-versed in modern UI trends, responsive design, and scalable design systems.
  • Extensive workshop leadership experience, particularly with C-level executives, along with strong high-fidelity prototyping skills.
  • The ability to translate high-level business needs into elegant UI solutions, ensuring consistency and usability across platforms while also coaching peers to do the same.
  • Expertise in Figma and UI design tools, with a deep understanding of design systems, accessibility best practices, and front-end collaboration.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to advocate for UI excellence, maintain brand consistency, and align stakeholders with business goals.
