Main Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Scope - European warehouses
  • Performance management for 50 Unilever Distribution Centres (DC) located across Europe (Unilever own and 3PL). Those DC's are responsible for intake of the goods delivered from factories (by primary transport), storage and preparation of deliveries (executed by 2Y transport).
  • Benchmarking and Best Practice sharing across the various warehouses and defining what great looks like aligned to global operating standards.
  • Driving 5% Savings YOY on a total Spend of 250m € across these warehouses working closely with in market teams to find opportunities and driving execution with impeccable project management.
  • Continuous improvement agenda - ongoing process mapping across EU (internal and benchmark) for identification and reduction of inefficiencies (gap closure) and proposing best in class solutions for efficient warehouse management and cost control.
  • Locking Robotics and Automation Road map for every warehouse and optimizing throughput
  • Role is independent (owning execution of the change management progress) requires experience (proficient knowledge of the processes) and excellent communication with multiple stakeholders to catch dependencies within the process and then ensure the proposed solution will be implemented across EU and execute properly (i.e. process and its execution of standards for repalletization at all DC). Project management from understanding/identification the opportunity/gap to implementation and execution.
  • Role is being supervised by direct line manager (WL2) and is responsible for onboarding the new joiner and further mentoring (if needed)
  • Role is having contacts with external parties 3PL (transport and warehouse operators) conducting the performance review excluding contact with the final customer (as being done by Customer Experience / Customer Facing team.

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistic is advantage
  • Minimum 5 yrs of experience in warehouse management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics
  • Business acumen and customer-centric mindset
  • Non siloed approach / open minded
  • Ability to leverage analytical skills to correlate insights across various data sets
  • Strong analytical skills to identify improvement areas and bleeders
  • Proper stakeholder management to establish European world class logistics
  • Project lead experience
  • Power BI and SQL working knowledge preferred
