Finance Controller EMEA

In this role and as part of an agile company that has the dedicated resources needed to achieve its strategic goals, you’ll have every opportunity to become a part of the “NewCo” we are forming and grow both personally and professionally and potentially make an even bigger impact on the acute care space – as well as on the consumers, patients and healthcare workers who depend on these innovative life-saving solutions.

This is a newly created role for BU Emergency Care, which will be carved out from Philips at the end of 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and establish finance operations for the EMEA region (Europe, META, India sub). The Finance Controller will oversee both accounting operations and financial business partnering, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting while driving business performance.

Your role:

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial and management reporting for the EMEA region.
  • Consolidate and oversee legal entity reporting, including the balance sheet, profit & loss statement, cash flow statements, and other required disclosures.
  • Deliver internal financial performance reports, including monthly results, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating plans.
  • Lead resolution of local accounting issues, collaborating with Infosys and other external partners to drive continuous improvements in accounting processes.
  • Support financial audits and tax documentation preparation, including supporting the direct export flow for the Latam region.

2. Financial Business Partnering

  • Partner with the Regional Business Leader (RBL) to drive and grow regional business value by setting and achieving financial and strategic targets for sales, pricing, margins, credit management, and costs.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for sales channel strategies, market share investments, and financing solutions.
  • Represent the company in discussions with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, customers, and suppliers.
  • Strengthen credit management processes in collaboration with commercial teams.

3. Disentanglement & Transition to NewCo

  • Actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), proactively identifying and addressing issues while collaborating with the disentanglement team.
  • Provide financial expertise to support a smooth transition from Philips to the NewCo.

You're the right fit if:

  • Minimum 8 years in finance roles, with a strong background in both accounting and FP&A. Experience in supporting commercial organizations is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team player with the ability to build trust and collaboration across finance and non-finance teams.
  • Adaptability and openness to change, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
