Job description

Join our dynamic Data Science & Consulting (DS&C) division as we continue our exciting journey to improve the world using mathematics, data science, and advanced analytics. We are looking for enthusiastic graduates to join our trainee pool, where you will have the opportunity to grow in consulting and software development roles for projects in the manufacturing, retail, energy, high-tech, and transport and logistics industry.

You as a Junior Analytics Consultant

At DS&C, we empower businesses to make valuable and effective data-driven decisions using a diverse range of tools and techniques. As a Junior Analytics Consultant, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge across different areas, while working with a variety of customers in diverse industries, each with unique challenges. Our tailored approach ensures that we deliver solutions that make a meaningful impact on people, planet, and profit. Your role will vary across projects, and together we will create a career path that aligns with your goals and ambitions.

Some potential roles include:

  • Gathering requirements to make sure the solution meets the customer’s needs
  • Translating the business challenge into a mathematical model
  • Analyzing data and giving advice on operational challenges
  • Developing software that supports the decision-making process of the customer
  • Maintaining and improving solutions that our customers are already using for multiple years

Our hands-on training program is designed to equip you with the essential skills required for these roles. Gain experience across various domains like problem definition, development approaches, modeling, data translation and visualization. Next to technical courses, we also offer courses to improve your soft skills and maximize impact delivery. These courses focus amongst others on working in projects efficiently, improving communication, time management and commercial skills.

Join the team

At ORTEC, you will work with highly motivated colleagues who share a passion for solving complex challenges. You will receive on-the-job coaching and guidance from experienced consultants to support your personal development. Furthermore, in your first 2 years of your career you will be part of our trainee pool. This creates the perfect environment for you to build valuable connections, learn from each other and learn about the career opportunities that we offer at ORTEC. We also offer plenty of opportunities to have fun with your colleagues through social activities. 😊

What we offer
