About the Role

Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Financial Controller to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The position lies within the Financial Controlling – Supply Chain HUB team, which lies in the Europe & Pacific Developed Markets Zone based in Amsterdam. You’ll be the lead local Financial Reporting Controller responsible for the Supply Chain base company in addition to 7 factories across Europe, reporting into the Financial Controller – Operations Europe. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. The delivery of the Financial Reporting Agenda, as well as business partnering, will be your primary responsibility. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities while delivering the accounting and reporting agenda.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monthly US GAAP reporting to WHQ (Chicago), including understanding results & accounting issues and planning, directing and coordinating all reporting operations;
  • Leading a team of 3 individuals and overseeing the activities of the GBS Financial Reporting Team – driving efficiencies, process improvements & issue resolution and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accounting;
  • Completion of the statutory accounts for 3-4 legal entities and supporting all aspects of the external audit with PwC;
  • Working with the Compliance team to ensure a sound internal control environment and being key coordinator for internal audit;
  • Supporting and participating in global IT infrastructure and other business-related projects or system upgrades;
  • Partnering with the business on all accounting issues – sharing technical expertise, researching issues, driving new requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s degree in Finance/Business Administration/Economics or similar;
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5/6 years experience in driving the Monthly Close Process and ensuring adequate control environment and reporting enhancements and improvements. Preferably in factory/supply chain environments;
  • Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of local accounting standards (and preferably US GAAP) and qualified accountant.
  • Language Knowledge: Fluent in English. Dutch is not required but would be a great to have.
