Financial Controller

Then we are looking forward to meeting you as our new Financial Controller.

As Financial Controller, you work closely together with your colleagues from Financial Control and Business Control. The key responsibility will be to secure timely and accurate reporting of the legal entities, both to Corporate as well as in compliance with local requirements.

You contribute to improving processes and drive improvements within the organization. In your daily tasks, you will:

• Be responsible for timely, complete, and accurate month-end close process
• Perform month-end close activities in line with US GAAP and JBT Marel accounting guidelines and implement new accounting and reporting requirements into systems and processes
• Secure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines as well as local laws and legislation and VAT
• Prepare and adjust finance journal entries, such as accruals, deferrals, reclass, and interdepartmental entries in the company’s accounting ledger
• Perform account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct
• Reconcile monthly general ledger, to ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations

To be successful in this role, you match the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor Degree in Business Economics and/or Business Administration
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in a project-driven company
• Analytical, communication skills
• Advanced SAP S/4HANA ERP knowledge, knows how to turn data into management information
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and related software, such as Blackline and Workiva, is an advantage
• Fluent in both Dutch and English (Spoken and written)
• Excellent skills in MS-Office, especially Excel
• Hands-on mentality, dynamic, enthusiastic & solution-oriented
