Role and responsibilities

As People Operations Teamlead you will be leading a team of HR professionals responsible for supporting employees and managers within the EU with all questions they might have regarding general HR policies, processes, and systems.

In this role, you will provide operational leadership, guidance, and support to employees with a focus on routine work and standardized activities. It’s your job to foster a positive and productive team environment, where team members feel supported, motivated, and empowered to achieve their goals and contribute to the success of the ABS (ASML Business Services) organization.

As People Operations Team lead, you’ll:

  • Manage day-to-day operational activities. You are responsible for qualitative results of the team and delivery of KPI's.
  • Keep up with internal and external developments and ensure development, transfer, and retention of knowledge and information.
  • Manage the performance and act as a coach for the development of employees.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Address personnel issues, conflicts, and challenges individually and within the team, finding solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses.
  • Explain operational choices and issues to parties in the immediate environment based on content-driven arguments.
  • Build and maintain a network of internal and external stakeholders/partners and represent the organization.
  • Participate in improvement projects for existing processes within own scope in a role of Project Lead.
  • Stimulate a continuous improvement mindset of own team and coordinate improvement plans for own scope by coaching employees.
  • Contribute to TL's and GL's to set team objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and manage the realization of the target annual plan for the own team.

Education and experience

For the position of People Operations Teamlead, you’ll need:

  • Knowledge/understanding of team's disciplines/functional area.
  • Leadership Experience - 1-3 years - in (informal) leadership roles.
  • Experience in overseeing a team with a connection to service/process/performance management.
  • Experience in managing resources on a day-to-day basis for own team.

Functional/Technical Skills

  • English: Can communicate with a strong degree of fluency and produce clear and detailed text.
  • Data analytics (Excel): able to create insight by combining data sources, using basic functions (formulas) and charts.
  • Understands the connection/impact between HR systems/processes.
  • Capability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Proven experience in problem-solving (LEAN Yellow Belt, A3).
