Your Role in Our Story:

We're looking for a product owner to define the vision and lead the roadmap for key initiatives to support our Energy and Carbon offset business trade settlement and value adding services. You will be responsible for understanding the needs of our business and ensuring the successful delivery of Business Intelligence services and products, conducting research, and gathering input from stakeholders across the organization. This role involves end-to-end discovery and delivery process, transforming business requirements into actionable tasks, and ensuring the product aligns with ACT's overall strategy and success. The ideal candidate will have a strong-background in business-oriented product ownership and working with IT, with high preference experience in Business Intelligence, (commodity) trading, settlement, CRM, or financial services. Reporting to the Head of PMO. In essence, your role involves:

  • Drive business-oriented product ownership by defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet user and business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments (commercial, operations, IT and SaaS vendors) to align on objectives, timelines, and product goals.
  • Manage expectations and field questions from stakeholders: prioritize features, define clear and actionable backlogs for development.
  • Manage the product and service lifecycle from concept through development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Act as the main contact for product or service-related queries, provide guidance on product direction and strategy, and ensure successful product adoption.
  • Launch new features, requirement gathering, track performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements based on user insights, maintaining a user-centric approach.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making, using metrics and KPIs to guide priorities, and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration for a smooth development process and drive continuous improvements in product performance and capabilities, aligning with business objectives.

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience in a business-oriented Product Owner or Product Management role. Experience in trading or financial services is a plus.
  • Strong experience in defining product strategies, managing backlogs, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in high pressure trading environment a strong pre.
  • A solid focus on business processes, with the experience to translate them into business intelligence requirements and ensure their maturity in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, clear communication of ideas and priorities (both verbal and written), while further growing enterprise agility and guiding stakeholder on this journey.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working in an Agile development environment.
  • A user-focused mindset with a passion for delivering products that solve real-business problems.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and change management best practices.
  • You listen well and have proactive attitude towards learning and improving both personal and team performance.
