As a Senior Frontend Developer you will be joining our Customer Experience team in developing and maintaining a variety of Sdu websites amongst which our knowledge portals (e.g. NDFR.nl) and the corporate Sdu.nl website. Our principal ambition is to improve the online journey of our customers throughout our product portfolio and to grow cross- and upsells by means of self-service. Our tech stack includes Kubernetes, Helm, React / NextJS, Turborepo GraphQL and Styled Components. You and your team members share the same high sense of responsibility for delivering carefully crafted, reliable and scalable solutions. You take pride in ownership (“you build it, you run it”), collaboration, cracking complex challenges and eventually having a significant impact on the quality of our codebase and, ultimately, the experience of our users. Together with the Frontend Chapter, you will own and maintain the Sdu Design System.

What we’re looking for

• BA/MA degree in the field of Computer Sciences, or similar
• 5+ years professional experience in a relevant development role
• Profound experience with React (or similar), SSR and GraphQL
• Elemental knowledge of common CI/CD practices (e.g. Github Actions, Azure Pipelines, GitLab CI)
• Experience with Test Automation (e.g. Jest / RTL, Playwright)
• Affinity with Agile software development methodologies
• Proficiency with the development and use of design systems
• A knack for UX and familiarity with Web Accessibility guidelines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bonus: familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes and / or Helm is considered a strong plus.
