Job description

As Data Analyst Intern, you will be involved in analyzing various datapoints to help Stryker deliver its growth strategy in Europe. Together with the broader Analytics team, you will create scalable, investigative capabilities which enable our commercial teams to reduce time spent on data searching, cleaning, reporting and shift focus towards running the business with supporting facts, insights, and foresights.

This hands-on internship offers a unique chance to contribute to fostering a data culture at Stryker and to gain valuable industry experience. This is also a great opportunity for analytically minded individuals looking to impact healthcare through technology!

What you will do:

• Support in translating stakeholder requirements to potential data analytics.
• Contribute to generating competitive and actionable insights by analyzing sales and product data.
• Gain exposure to conducting analyses for various markets and divisions of Stryker, from problem and requirements definition to code validation and deployment.
• Support in the creation of scalable and efficient data capabilities (incl. external data sources).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales operation analysts, commercial analysts and BI analysts to support in insight generation.
• Help in building and improving SQL queries, Power BI dashboards and in automating processes that will gear the reporting and insights capabilities.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations that communicate research findings and insights to internal stakeholders.

What you need:

Required:

• You are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics/Mathematics/Economics, Business Administration or in any related field. It is required to be enrolled at a Dutch University for the entire duration of the internship (min. 9 months).
• You are eligible to pursue an internship in The Netherlands.
• You already gained exposure to Power BI during, for example, university projects, assignments, etc.
• You demonstrate analytical skills and an ability to interpret data.
• You are eager to learn, enjoy building relationships and have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and sense of responsibility.
• Fluency in spoken and written English. Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

• Exposure to at least one of the following tools in data analytics is not mandatory, but it would be preferred: SQL, Python, DAX.
