Fleet Cleaner is a fast-growing innovative organization. Our engineering department plays a crucial role in the technological advancement of Fleet Cleaner. This team is responsible for both the development of new technologies and the improvement of existing systems, such as our cleaning installations and inspection robots. In doing so, we use innovative techniques in the areas of water treatment, robotics, hydraulically controlled machines, and automation. The department consists of a team of 16 software and hardware engineers who work together on innovative solutions to further automate and optimize our operations.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you are not only responsible for the mechanical design of our cleaning installations and inspection robots, but you will supervise your projects from A to Z. This means that you are involved in the entire process: from the design and procurement of materials and components to construction supervision and commissioning. You will work on both 3D designs and 2D production drawings and maintain close contact with suppliers, including being responsible for negotiations. You will ensure that your designs are completed on schedule and contribute to Fleet Cleaner’s continued growth and innovation.

Your activities

In the role of Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following work:

• Supervise the entire project from design to commissioning;
• Designing and working out 3D models and 2D production drawing (Autodesk Inventor);
• Drafting P&ID schematics (Autodesk AutoCAD);
• Maintaining contact with suppliers and conducting purchasing and negotiation discussions;
• Drafting technical documentation and related manuals.

What do we ask?

To be able to perform the position of Mechanical Engineer well, we ask the following:

• At least a completed college degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a similar position.
• In possession of driving license B.
• Living in the Delft area.
• Experience with CAD, with a preference for Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience in preparing production drawings.
• Excellent command of both the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
• You are able to work out designs independently.
• A structured and accurate working method, with an eye for detail and planning.
