Mechanical Engineer

Focus Engineering is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer for a client in the maritime industry located in the Groningen region.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join a large maritime organization with multiple locations across the Netherlands. Due to the formation of a new product team, the company is now seeking an additional Mechanical Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable and modular mechanical solutions that are easy to configure and seamlessly integrate with electrical systems. You will work closely with various teams and the production department to ensure technical feasibility and efficient implementation. At the same time, you'll contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of mechanical standards. The team in the Groningen region consists of approximately 25 FTE.

Job description

• Involved in both basic and detailed engineering;
• Working with Autodesk Inventor;
• Collaborating with the Sales Manager, Product Manager, and Project Manager;
• Participating in projects involving both products and systems.

Who are you?

• A bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field;
• Experience with Inventor (AutoCAD experience is a plus);
• Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
