Your challenges

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Business Partner to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration and alignment of our Digital Workplace initiatives with our overall firm technology strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365), excellent communication skills, and a strong background in understanding how the company is structured, particularly within KPMG’s network and federated IT systems. This role calls for excellent senior stakeholder management skills.

This is what you bring

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT in as a technical advisory or consultant working with Cloud technologies and being a specialist in Microsoft 365.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience of working with M365 suite of services including SharePoint Online and Power Platform.
  • 8+ years of experience in a large enterprise with an established track record of leading, identifying and addressing business requirements in all aspects of Product/Service design and delivery.
  • Experience in consultative/complex technical deployment projects managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects.
  • Drives Results - consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.

  • Building partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Anticipate and adopt innovations in business-building digital and technology applications.

  • Experience in building technical and business relationships with senior executives.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft licensing is a strong plus.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies is a strong plus.
  • Some prior experience of working as a Product Owner or in support of the role with familiarity of a product lifecycle is a strong plus.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural and multi-vendor environment in a multi-discipline team in multiple country locations with sound knowledge in building effective working relationships.
  • Understanding of Azure technologies is preferable.
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication (English), collaboration, facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills, influencing and negotiation skills required.

What will you do?

Key accountabilities

30% Build Rapport - Maintain regular touch points with our network of member firms and global functions to ensure Digital Workplace captures and understands key requirements from end-users. Relationships are expected to be built and maintained at CIO, CTO and Digital Workplace Lead level.

Manage Stakeholder Network - Identify potential stakeholders, analyze their expectations, and develop strategies for managing stakeholders and their expectations.

Client Needs - Find out and clarify the client's requirements and what factors will influence their buying decision. This ranges in complexity from asking some standard questions to gathering complex data from a variety of sources inside and outside the client business, then analyzing findings to define and agree on a statement of client requirements to enable offering the right sales proposition.

Manage Client Challenges - Navigate conversations in which the client is frustrated or unhappy with the organization.

Strengthen Connections - Connect with clients to strengthen the relationship, meeting needs through positive client experiences.

Commercial Acumen - Demonstrate understanding of the business environment and objectives in developing solutions.

20% Digital Workplace Roadmap - Create, understand and communicate the digital road map, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles to drive sustainable implementation, ensuring effective mutual buy-in to the steps of implementation and benefits of the technology. Work with Digital Workplace Product Owners to effectively communicate key product updates and enhancements.

20% Product Communities - Support the structure and facilitation of product communities to assist product owners in ensuring member firms are fully invested and informed about product roadmaps, plans, issues etc.

20% Product Best Practices - Work with Product Owners to articulate best practice usage of tool sets. Ensure we are getting maximum return on M365 investment in terms of user awareness.

10% Continuous Improvement - Enhance product and operational processes to streamline efficiency, boosting performance and productivity for our teams and customers. Evaluate operational performance against plan, create new ideas, and make suggestions for improvements and changes to ensure continuous improvement in performance over time.
