Systems Engineering Consultant

About this position

You will have the unique opportunity of raising the systems engineering competencies in the high tech industry, assess international systems engineering methodologies and framework, and build on the knowledge and insights generated by the research projects performed by your colleagues at our industry partners (ASML, Canon, Philips, Thales, and Vanderlande).

What will be your role?

In line with their mission statement, TNO-ESI has the mission and ambition to embed their research results (knowledge, systems engineering methodologies, incl. tools, expertise, etc.) into the industry. By doing this at a growing scale, TNO-ESI aims to grow their impact and to deliver a positive contribution to the national earning power and to the big societal challenges that need efficient and effective engineering (of digital systems). The consultant that TNO-ESI is looking for will contribute to such programs, through participation in our consultancy projects. The consultant will also connect to our research program to bring new insights from consultancy projects into our research program.

What we expect from you

  • You are a goal-oriented and self-driven professional energized by delivering high quality results and willing to share and to learn from new experiences and your colleagues.
  • You are passionate about helping improve the industrial systems engineering way of working by raising the relevant competences of individuals and teams.
  • You are familiar with systems architecting / systems engineering methods processes & required competences.
  • You are experienced in understanding multiple internal and external stakeholder needs and deriving them at different system abstraction levels.
  • You like capturing this in models, using MBSE and/or other model-driven approaches, fit for the purpose of modelling.
  • You have an affinity with the high-tech world and are fascinated by the role of human aspects in innovation and technology development. At the same time you are resilient in the face of organizational and operational difficulties that are part of the dynamics of the high tech industry.

We offer a gross monthly salary between € 85,575 and € 114,198 (based on your knowledge and experience), 8% holiday pay, a 13th month bonus of 8.33% and a flex budget (5.58% + € 180).
