Finance | Data Science Internship: Support the Treasury Department

Introduction

ASML’s Treasury department manages worldwide cash flows, funding, and financial risks of ASML Group and looks after related compliance matters. We do this with a team of highly professional and motivated people based in The Netherlands, China, South Korea, and the USA. The Treasury department is part of the CFO organization of ASML. You will work in a dynamic and international-oriented environment with tight deadlines and direct impact on ASML’s financial results.

Your assignment

As a Treasury intern, you will work as a full member of the Treasury Corporate Cash & Financial Risk Management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support on projects and processes in the area of cash management, financial risk management, treasury control, and system management;
  • End-to-end responsibility for preparing amongst others the monthly treasury management report, which is submitted to Treasury and Finance Leadership team;
  • Keep work procedures up-to-date, improved, and transferable to successors.

This is a final year bachelor or master apprentice internship for 6 months, with the possibility to extend up to a maximum of 12 months. The internship is for 4/5 days per week (2/3 days on-site). There will be sufficient flexibility to spend time on university (course)work. The internship preferably starts in June 2025.

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

  • Have a background in Business Economics/Finance or Data Science;
  • Have an outstanding academic record and have proven affinity with topics that are related to treasury, investment, and risk management;
  • Are motivated to work in a high-tech company and have a keen interest to develop your practical skills in a challenging and dynamic business environment;
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills, are capable of working independently with high accuracy, and able to handle a high level of responsibility;
  • Are eager to learn, ambitious, and willing to go the extra mile;
  • Have excellent skills in English, both verbally and writing.

Other requirements you need to meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you’re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
