Overall role on the team
SSHOC-NL is a national collaborative research infrastructure project by CLARIAH and ODISSEI, representing respectively the national research infrastructures for the Humanities and Social Sciences. The CLARIAH SSHOC-NL coordinator is a key member of the SSHOC-NL project coordination team and together with the ODISSEI SSHOC-NL coordinator, the linking pin between the CLARIAH and ODISSEI organizations. The coordinator establishes an environment in which the project coordination team can perform their duties in an orderly manner and manage day-to-day operations as needed. In addition, the coordinator assists in monitoring and reviewing the progress of the SSHOC-NL team.
The CLARIAH SSHOC-NL Project Coordinator closely assists the Co-Principal Investigator with the overall administration, direction, and task progress of the research project. The coordinator is involved with all aspects of the day-to-day management of the project, including facilitating meetings, participating in (oral and written) communications with various members of the team, and monitoring project budget and in-kind spending. This role requires close collaboration with the SSHOC-NL coordination team of ODISSEI and the CLARIAH-NL management board.

The CLARIAH SSHOC-NL coordinator has effective leadership skills, including directing and mentoring colleagues. The coordinator pro-actively signals lacunas in processes and shows attention to detail. The coordinator works independently, and collaborates in settings with different cultures and disciplines. The coordinator has affinity with research infrastructure and/or with the social sciences and humanities. They can work as a supportive and cooperative member of the team. 😊
Work place
You will be stationed at the International Institute of Social History, a Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences Institute. Specifically you will be working at the Department of Data & Augmentation. In practice you will be working both online and offline on various premises, mainly in the Randstad area.
